"Bourgoine firewood really saved my bacon and my wallet this year! My wood stove had a split in the metal exhaust that made it unsafe to use without repairs. I thought I might not be able to afford to repair the stove and so I didn't buy very much wood for the season in case I had to save up... But the repair was fortunately doable, once I was finally able to get a contractor to come out. However, that left me with only a bit more than a cord of wood to try to heat my old drafty 1801 farmhouse for the whole season, and then I'd have to rely on oil! Given that it was more than $1,000 each month to heat the house with oil last year when my stove had bitten the dust (and that was only heating the house to 55!), I really wanted to avoid that if I could... But it was the end of December! Where in the world was I going to find dry, seasoned wood? Then I found Bourgoine! I was able to order 3 cords in what was close to the dead of winter. It was kept under cover and was nice and dry! I feel the price was appropriate, especially for the season, and the price included delivery. The wood is good quality. There was a small pile of bark and smaller slivers of wood mixed in, but not more than I would consider the normal amount for machined wood transported by truck... And I'll happily use it for kindling rather than having to split my own! I would highly recommend and will likely be a repeat customer - so glad to be able to stay warm and not lose my life savings in oil this winter!"
"Poor quality of wood. There were so many small and odd pieces. I ordered three cords and have close to 20 wheelbarrows of mulch and scraps in the picture below. I’ve spent more time sifting through the pile for good prices than actually stacking and and am now spending an entire day on just clearing the mulch."
"Had a really hard time getting thru to the supplier I purchased cord wood from in the past , so I gave it a shot and called Bourgoine logging. Phone was answered right away without having to leave numerous voice mails. Pleasant transaction. Had my cordwood delivered within a week of calling. Not an easy place to dump the wood in my driveway with the power lines etc but did an amazing job! Thanks again, will be a repeat yearly customer!"
