Anderson Timber Harvesting

About Anderson Timber Harvesting
Anderson Timber Harvesting supplies mixed hardwoods to Westminster and surrounding areas, offering firewood delivery for homeowners who need reliable heating wood without the labor of sourcing and hauling it themselves.
Their mixed hardwood inventory typically includes oak, maple, and hickory — species that deliver strong BTU output when properly seasoned. Oak produces 24–28 million BTU per cord, while hickory reaches 27–30 million BTU per cord, making either choice effective for sustained winter heating. The key is moisture content: hardwoods should measure 15–20% moisture to burn cleanly and produce maximum heat. Freshly cut wood won't perform well, so asking about seasoning time when you call is important.
Firewood is sold by the cord (128 cubic feet), half-cord, or quarter-cord measurements. Most Westminster homeowners ordering for the season prefer half-cord or full-cord volumes to minimize delivery trips. Typical pricing in the Westminster area falls in the $300–$450 per cord range, depending on wood type and delivery distance, though you should confirm current rates directly.
When contacting Anderson Timber Harvesting, ask whether delivery includes stack placement in your yard or if you'll be responsible for unloading. Also clarify their delivery window—some suppliers offer weekend service, others weekdays only. Their 4.2-star rating across 21 reviews indicates consistent customer experience, a useful signal when comparing local options.

Read all 21 reviews on Google"Two years in a row I did not receive the 2 cord I ordered from them. Although last year they made it right after I notified them the delivery was short. This year almost all the wood in the 2 cord I ordered was cut to 14" to 15" length instead of 16" and I was short a lot of wood. They seem to be blaming me because I notified them two years in a row.that my order was short. Emily admitted to me that the stop on the machine that cuts the wood to length broke years ago but they never fixed or replaced it so the guy cutting to length eyeballs the length!!! Last year I paid $1000 for 2 cord and this year I paid $950 for 2 cord which is outrageous money but I wanted kiln dried tumbled wood to burn. I have two racks that when full of 16" pieces will measure out to 2 cord so I know if I am short because I order 2 cord every year. My small rack holds 1/2 cord if the wood is cut to 16" lengths. That rack is filled last and it is not even 2/3rd's full of short length wood once I stacked all the wood they delivered. I have a 1 and 1/2 cord rack which is full but the length of the wood is almost all 1 to 2 inches short of 16 inches and some much shorted than that. I was offered $150 back but at $475 a cord isn't close to what I should get for a refund for the amount of wood I didn't received. And because I have notified them two years in a row that my orders were short they will no longer sell me wood! Yeah, Great customer service Emily!!! Misses, we will always do what we need to to make things right. BS! The Massachusetts Division of Standards which regulates firewood and cord wood sales in Massachusetts will send someone out to measure what I have. If you are ever shorted call them. There is legislation in Massachusetts governing the sale of firewood and cord wood. If you buy wood from this company make sure you measure what you received because from my experience there is a good chance YOU ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF!!! AND they only except CASH!!! Response to their response: We did not discuss anything at length. You are not taking into account that 99% of the wood I received is short by at least 1 to 2 inches or more. That is two cord of wood not cut to the proper length So it is NOT TWO CORD!. So even if both my racks were full I still would not have received 256 cubic feet of wood. Your math is incorrect. And even if all the wood were 16" length which is what I paid for, my small rack is more than an 1/8 cord short. My large rack is 12 feet in length by 6 feet high rack where almost all of the wood in it is not 16 inches long. IT IS ALL SHORT! I have been shorted way more than the 1/8th cord you claim I was shorted. I fail to understand your logic since I have told you numerous times, starting with, from the day the wood was delivered (and I sent you pictures with a tape measure on many pieces of wood) that the length was all short. Again you told me in text messages that the stop on the machine that cuts the wood to length broke years ago and it was never fixed or replaced so the guy cutting the length just eyes it instead of measuring to make sure the length is correct and people get what the paid for. Yet that is the customer's problem!?! So your your logic dictates that even though the wood was not cut to the proper length, that is my problem and I am in the wrong for notifying you!?! It is not on me that you can't deliver what I ordered, which was 256 cubic feet of wood. If you had delivered what I had ordered two years in a row, you never would have heard from me again until I ordered again the following year. And you want me to believe that I am the only one this has happened to? Magical thinking is what that is. EDIT: 11-16-2025 Emily you should talk to Derek about the order I received. Much of it has not been kiln dried (which is what I was suppose to receive) let alone seasoned. A lot of it reads between 30% up to 63% moisture. You try burning wood with that much moisture in it. Those moisture reading were done after I split some of the wood I was delivered. Last year all the wood I received read 0% to 3%."
"Last fall our regular wood supplier just was not getting back. By a stroke of luck very late in the season my wife saw the ATH company truck in a parking lot with their number on back and called. Emily answered right away, yes a real person and not a machine, and was able to get the firewood delivered the very next day! The Kiln dried wood was the best wood we've had in a long time. And wood has been our prime heating source for 31 years and counting. Very clean burn with minimal ash. To top it off Emily contacted us to see how we liked the wood. Customer service that is well appreciated and rare. We will for sure be going back to the well for the 2024/25 heating season. Good wood and good people! In the end we were glad our old supplier never got in touch."
"This is my second review (both have been 5 stars). The reason I wanted to write this review is because 1) the service was great as usual. The delivery was careful and precise, the whole team is friendly and the product is great every year. And 2) the price this year was THE SAME PRICE as last year. At a time when every single company is raising their prices and blaming inflation, ATH could easily have added 10, 20, 30 bucks or more to a cord but they didn't. That tells me that they're an honest company. They could easily have blamed inflation as every other company does but ATH did not. They'll get my business again next year."
"Fast delivery, solid logs in every way. Burns for a long time before needing to add more to the fire. Much better then previous kiln dried wood we’ve ordered from others."
"Anderson Timber Harvesting have just completed a very difficult project for my family. Our future house lot is located near a lake and close to a neighbor, with many trees between 100 & 125 feet tall. They completed the highly selective clear cut flawlessly, including a dozen dangerous trees requiring the Father & Sons Team to communicate on cuts thru ear pieces when they could not see each other. Many professionals have visited my site and marveled at the quality & neatness of the work. Having worked with land-clearing companies for 5 decades, I am confident in giving them my highest recommendations."
