"Purchased 2 cords of seasoned wood from central mass, and was excited because in the past they delivered the wood on time, and was great nice quality. Well this year I'm disappointed I got 2 cords which looks like seasoned mixed with green, and it was delivered a week later than scheduled.I've had alot of wood over the years and you can tell the difference.also the peices delivered this year, aren't even standard size alot of it is kindling sized very small. With the wood prices skyrocketing this year, it's a shame you don't get what you pay for. I've read other reviews with similar issues,,purchased 2 green cords from another private company, (not saying who it was) was a good price, should have gotten the seasoned from them as well, and payed the Xtra..live and learn. Sorry to say next year will definitely be shopping around,,,central mass needs to step it up..."

"We have been repeat customers of Central Mass Tree for over 20 years. We have had land clearing done for several projects and have been getting cord wood also. The deparked wood is the best as it has minimal clean up. They deliver the cord wood by the date they say and are very accommodating to where we need it dumped. The company is top notch and we would highly recommend their services."

"Decided to buy 3 cord this year from this company, because it was the cheapest I could find. $300 per cord and a $50.00 delivery charge. One of the BIGGEST mistakes I ever made!! FACTS: when I inquired about 3 cord, I specifically asked if the wood is seasoned. The lady told me, verbatim, "Sir, the wood is seasoned-- it's been drying for a year and a half on pavement, it's hardwood". I bit the bait and was ripped of $950.00 :( I'm a hard working American, go to work every day, sometimes driving 2 hours one way, only making anywhere from $1,000 a week to $1,400. I saved up for several weeks, so I could buy some dry wood this Winter to keep my family warm. The wood is so wet, it doesn't burn. It sizzles and I have to keep the wood stove door open with the damper wide open, or it'll go out. Really wish I would've done my research, I don't know how I'll keep my family warm this year, as I spent $950.00 on wood in stead of filling my oil tank. You all were warned! BUYING WOOD FROM THIS COMPANY= NO HEAT THIS WINTER AND A RIP OFF ON YOUR MONEY! Please guys, do your research before buying wood! I would've rather paid $350-400 a cord for wood that I can burn this Winter, now I'm stuck with wet wood that I 💯 cannot burn this year and no oil in my tank. Not going to bother contacting the company because, I've read other customer reviews claiming they too were ripped off and the owner is a very violent person. I, too, can be very violent, as I went to Federal Prison, so I'm going to avoid the conflict, and never buy wood from this guy again and I will be contacting the BBB. Also forgot to mention, I wasn't home when the delivery showed up, I was on my way home from Concord and had my girlfriend accept the delivery, whom she knows nothing about wood. Usually when a business gives you their word, you take it as rock solid. Businesses are held to very high standards in accordance with rules and regulations. And to make matters worse, 90% of the wood is stacked in my basement, so now, I am stuck with it. I will save up some money, and buy some wood for $400.00 a cord to mix with this unseasoned wood. This is such a bummer! What happened to America....?????"

"I’m a repeat customer. I couldn’t be any more pleased. We had 8 mature tall Oaks threatening to damage our property. Randy arrived as planned with a huge crane, a chipper and a crew of hard working skilled tree surgeons and did a great job of completing the project. They respected our property and took care to manicure only the trees selected. The team spent a more than an hour raking, sweeping, shoveling, leaf blowing , and cleaning up the yard and driveway at the end of the job. There was no evidence of the amount of hard work done left behind . I will use Central Mass Tree the next time I need tree work done."

"Every few years, I purchase a truckload of logs at an average cost of $800, which typically yields about seven cords of firewood. I process the logs myself by cutting, de-barking, splitting, and stacking them into custom drying bins made from pallets. Each bin holds one full cord, measuring 8 feet long by 4 feet wide by 4 feet high. This year, as I am turning seventy and no longer able to manage the labor involved with processing logs, I instead purchased three cords of pre-cut, split firewood. However, when stacked into my bins, the delivery amounted to only two cords with a small amount left over--significantly short of the three cords I paid for. I promptly contacted the supplier to report the shortage and requested the missing cord be delivered. I later received a call from an individual I believe to be the owner, who insisted that nine scoops were loaded onto the Peterbilt truck, which he considered equivalent to three cords. I explained that if the scoops had been light or if fewer than nine were actually loaded, this could account for the discrepancy. He stated that he would investigate the matter, but after failing to follow up, I called again and have yet to receive a response or resolution to this matter. I paid $375 per cord plus a $100 delivery fee, totaling $1,225. While this would have been a fair price for three cords of clean, de-barked wood, it is unreasonable for a delivery that only amounted to two cords. I respectfully request that this issue be resolved promptly, either by delivering the missing cord of wood or by issuing a refund for the undelivered portion. My recommendation for anyone purchasing wood from this or any supplier is to always stack and measure the delivery to confirm the full amount purchased has been provided."
