"Like another reviewer, I also received wood that was damp and not at the standards that their company specified. If you want a product that is not as advertised, I suggest you buy from them. Furthermore, if you want poor and condescending customer service then Twigs should be your first choice above the rest. See the photos I attached of wood that was sold as "seasoned" but not actually at the appropriate moisture level. These readings were taken 5 hours after the wood was delivered."
"Paid $475 for a cord of dry firewood, stacked in a dry shed within 2 hours of delivery. Split it smaller and this is how it’s burning! Called to tell them my concerns and they said the 20% moisture it’s reading is considered dry!"
"I see all the great review, which is why I purchased some seasoned wood for this winter… sorry I have to give 1 star, when I received the wood it seemed a little damp to me so I called and informed them this wood seems damp… she assured me they follow all the regulations for moisture.. I ask will this seasoned wood be ready and dry for winter burning. She assured me yes. Well it’s Dec and I have been trying to burn this damp wood, I can hear it sizzling when it is burning. Plus they need to split the log one more time some if not most of the logs are very large, and I am trying to split them here.. which defeats the purpose of buying already split wood. Sorry for the 1 star, but my first experience was large damp wood. Disappointed for sure."
"We ordered wood from these folks, and got three full cords of seasoned wood. Then we ordered three green cords, and after we were done stacking these, (which was a little over a year later,) we were short wood to finish the last cord. I called to see if they could do something about our situation, and they were so pleasant to deal with... a few days after I called, they delivered enough wood to complete the cord. It's hard to find good customer service, and honesty these days, but you will find both if you order wood from Twigs!"
