"Buyer Beware - Firewood Warning - Undersized Deliveries I have been a loyal customer of K+K Mulch, John Koshivas and his family for over ten years, so I am shocked at what just happened. On September 18 2020, I ordered and paid for, 4 cord (128 cu.ft./ cord) of firewood at $300/cord. I told Cheryl who took my order that I have been doing this for thirty years and would be stacking and measuring it. She told me that all deliveries were guaranteed. On October 14, I received the delivery, stacked it measured it and it totaled 2.41 cord. short by 1.59 cord. I immediately brought this to John's attention and provided him with a diagram with dimensions and invited him to verify my measurements. I visited him a couple days later and he said he agreed with my numbers and said he would take care of it. A few days later I received a second delivery which measured out to 0.62 cord, now I am at 3.03 cord. Today I visited John Koshivas's son John who told me that he didn't believe me and I would not be getting the balance of my order. He stated that he delivered the second load and it was slightly over 0.5 cord. I asked him to visit my home and confirm my measurement and he refused, I asked for a refund for the shortage ($300) and he told me I would not be getting that either. This is worse than a bad review this is illegal. Many who purchase firewood may not take the time to stack and measure it, suggest you do it and get what you paid for. You cannot post zero stars otherwise I would. Feb 7th update - In late December Mr. Koshivas told me again he will take care of the shortage, a few days later his son delivers a third of a cord bringing the total delivery to 3.4 cord, still short by 0.6 cord or $180. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. The latest response from the business is that they have delivered what I paid for and I should buy my firewood from someone else. Indeed I will, and anyone reading this should do so as well. I recommend the Firewood Shop in Bellingham."
