I came back, and he was extremely rude, and told me he would deliver it again. I'm still waiting, it's been weeks. He's gonna take your money and never look back. DO NOT GO THERE"
"John promised twice this week (June 23 &25, 2025 to deliver 1 cu. yd of topsoil. The 1st time the truck delivered the topsoil but not in 15-gallon buckets like John promised. I rejected it. I had reasons for wanting the buckets and John had even suggested the idea. I went back Wednesday the 25th and he promised to deliver it that afternoon, but he didn't. John had a good price but it was only 1 yard. I suspect that on small orders he fills them, if he has time. Don't you hate it when a contractor or supplier promises to do something and you never hear from them again? All they have to do is say that they prefer to not take your order. I understand in business that you have to make money. However, there is a remote possibility that John had a health issue. He complained about a pain Wednesday and i suggested that he go to a doctor. I am a layman but the symptom sounded serious. If he did have a health issue and failed to deliver for that reason, I will retract this negative review. I know of only one other employee who wroks there and it may not have been possible to notify his customers. I appreciate people like John who are working for a living and not living on a government handout. I just wish that he would be more upfrint and honest about his commitments. - Jim Watson"
"I purchased 20 bales of straw. I have bought 100 plus in the past with a few bales with some trash ( Non Straw items like bark sticks and line combs ) this last few bales were awful. The outside looked good but when you got in the middle was mostly trash. I would have called or brought what I hadn't used back but needed to get an area in my backyard taken care of for a family event. Spent way too much time fluffing to make sure the tash was toward the ground. I may have to reconsider in the future."
"I requested a dump truck load of gravel, what I got was a Tonka truck load. Very disappointing. They agreed to bring more gravel. Waited all day & they kept saying it was coming. Gave up after 7pm. Two days later I got another Tonka (toy) truck amount, this one smaller than the 1st one. Wished he had been upfront with me regarding his lacking capabilities of delivery of the amount of gravel I requested. Paid way too much for what I got!!!!!"
"If I could leave zero stars I would. First time we ordered top soil about 2 years ago from here was a few days late on delivery and when it finally did show it was trash dirt full of big rocks, glass and twigs. Called several times saying the dirt was not top soil, was told I was a lier then when I went up there face to face with a bucket of the dirt I was delivered did I finally get my money back. Owner told us he got scammed too because the driver picked up his good dirt but brought us bad dirt… So this year we needed a load of top soil and thought we would give them another chance. We paid for 7 cubic feet of top soil on the morning of Thursday April 4th and was told it would be delivered that afternoon. Friday afternoon still no soil so we called and was told the drivers never picked up our ticket and was apologized to and told it would be here Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon still no soil we drove up there to ask was told the drivers still didn’t pick up our ticket and he would get it to us Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon still no soil, the driver called and said his truck broke down, we called the owner he said he was so sorry and that he himself would deliver our dirt within the next 30 minutes. Never showed! Called this morning which is Monday and was told his truck broke down too and our soil would be there no later than 3:30 this afternoon…. Here it is 6:48pm NO SOIL and no call. The worst part about this whole process is we live not even 20 minutes from them. Please do yourself a favor and find yourself another place to do business with. You’ll thank me later. Edit to add ****Its been over a week with still no soil and still have not gotten a refund!!!"
