"The website claims "We clean our firewood by tumbling it twice through our tumble cleaner that removes dirt, loose bark or other debris. " The wood I received last year for my elderly mom was far from clean, was mostly white birch mixed with softwoods and a little locust. The wood was filthy, no way it was tumbled clean. Also looked like much of it was cut at different times, some had mold growing on the ends! I believe my mom was given the junk pile of wood, odd shapes and sizes and NEVER tumbled clean! The owner never returned my many phone calls."

"Just installed a new stove that needs kiln dried wood to heat efficiently. All local suppliers have a several month backlog for bulk wood deliveries. I bought several bundles of Cold Hollow Ranch wood from a local retailer (they sell bundles at many supermarkets/gas stations/etc in Northern VT). If their bulk wood is a reflection of what they sell in bundles I will never order bulk from them. It’s sufficiently wet to hiss and burns really poorly."
"Excellent quality kiln dried firewood. Had dealt with another supplier for a few years before discovering CHR. Brian is friendly and getting loaded up is easy. Just make sure you got the right sized trailer or truck to pick up your own cord. I haven’t gotten a delivery from them but I can only imagine that their service is just as great. If you have a wood stove or insert you should be burning CHR’s kiln dried wood."

We looked around and found that wood comes in all stages of cut - green, seasoned and kiln dried. When I called Cold Hollow Ranch I knew we found our supplier. Kiln dried, no moisture, NO BUGS, all hardwood and it was delivered when promised within two feet of our garage so we could stack it inside. It burns hot and lights quickly. Thank you!"
