"Have been a loyal customer for 6 years but this week Matthews really screwed us and we will now be taking our business elsewhere. My husband called at the beginning of the week, first thing Monday morning and asked for fuel to be delivered. Friday morning (today) we realized they hadn’t come yet. My husband called and they said they were down to one truck and had a ton of calls this week and they wouldn’t be able to come today. (Let me remind you we called them at 8:05am on Monday morning. We should have been one of the first deliveries for the week)They suggested calling elsewhere. That would have been great information to know earlier in the week to establish ourselves as customers elsewhere because now we can’t get anyone else to deliver because we are going into a holiday weekend and no one will deliver until at least Tuesday. We called Matthews emergency line and explained we are now under 1/4 of a tank coming into a long holiday weekend and a cold snap. They literally told us they couldn’t do anything… we are only in this situation because they forgot to deliver to us and FAILED to communicate. They’re now trying to wipe their hands completely clean of it. So disappointed in how they’re treating a loyal customer. Incredibly poor customer service. We will be taking our business elsewhere."
"Matthews was great never had an issue with them for years but they are now owned by Button... please save yourself the trouble and just don't use them. The women's comment below me says it all. Customer service horrible and takes forever to get a human on the phone. First was told they would see me this week for my delivery. Called them Friday after work and saw they never came, then was told sometime next week after I was at a 1/4 tank. Then the man proceeded to tell me "that maybe I shouldn't let it get that low next time", trucks are broken people called off etc. Ended up calling back ending my service demanded refund and am now customer some where else."
