"I submitted my 2nd order with Harwood Bros! I ordered from them last season and the entire process was great! Easy to order online and the website has detailed descriptions. From the type of wood to the size of the delivery, it’s all easy to understand. The delivery person was very considerate and nice to chat with while he stacked the firewood. "I met Gene, the gracious owner, through unusual circumstances. I had ordered a Cord of wood from what I was told was his company Hardwood Brothers. As it turned out, fraudulent individuals were using the front of his company and website to legitimize selling to customers via Facebook Marketplace. As it turns out Hardwood Bris does not advertise on FB marketplace, and just last week several customers called Gene to see if this affiliation was factual. Gene mentioned to the several customers that called, that there has never been an affiliation with these unknown individuals who are preying on customers to purchase a cord of wood, & pay by Zelle payment for same day delivery. With the verification of Hardwood Bros website and their excellent t reputation, and their location just up the road, I unfortunately trusted the scammers, who stole $250 and never delivered anything. After I called Gene, & with zero obligation on his part, he offered to assuage the situation of being so wrongly taken advantage of, by delivering on the same day as the incident, the equivalent of firewood, which I had thought I purchased. This kindness, understanding and generosity is obviously exemplary, especially at a time when I felt like a fool. Gene’s business name needs to be protected and the understanding that others in the future know for certain that perpetrators are using his business name and reputation, for their own disreputable ends. I am grateful for being introduced to Gene, will certainly purchase wood from him in the future, and rest assured his company is 100% legitimate, while anyone else usurping his company name for nefarious ends needs to be brought to Justice."
