    About Tarrillions Wood & Mulch

Tarrillions Wood & Mulch serves the greater St. Louis area as a full-service firewood and mulch supplier. Whether you're stocking up for winter heating or need landscape materials, they handle delivery, stacking, mulch spreading, and cleanup—eliminating the labor-intensive work of processing and arranging wood yourself.

    Wood Quality & Species

They supply seasoned oak and hickory, both premium hardwoods for St. Louis-area fireplaces and wood stoves. Oak delivers 24–28 million BTU per cord, while hickory ranges 27–30 million BTU per cord—making either choice efficient for sustained heat output. Properly seasoned wood sits at 15–20% moisture content, which prevents excessive creosote buildup and ensures cleaner burns.

    Services Beyond Delivery

Stacking services save significant time and back strain. Rather than manually arranging cords yourself, Tarrillions handles that step, positioning wood for optimal airflow and weathering. Their mulch spreading and property cleanup services round out a broader landscaping toolkit, making a single call cover multiple yard needs in one project.

    Service Area Coverage

Their delivery network spans the greater St. Louis metropolitan region, so whether you're in the city proper or surrounding suburbs, they can reach your property. Typical cord sizes—full cord (128 cubic feet), half-cord, and quarter-cord—are available to match your storage space and heating requirements.

"This is my second time using them and it’s been great. It’s worth it to pay a bit extra for them to dump piles by your gardens. All you have to do is spread. The quality of the mulch is wonderful."

"Been using this company for about 20 years, Rick a honest wood hauler providing great service. (That dh424 guy must have been confuse, Rick stacks his 4x8, so customer know exactly what they are getting. Burning quicker is a good thing, means wood is seasoned [DRY] as advertised. :>)"

"I ordered wood on October 16th and still have yet to receive any as of December 8th. Initially I was told that could take anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks for delivery, which I was fine with and understood. At the 4 week mark I followed up and asked if there was an ETA on delivery and was told soon. Then at the 6 week mark I followed up again and received no response. Do not waste your time and find someone else."

"Nothing personal against these guys --they seem like nice people--but my experience with customer service has been awful. They kept promising that they will deliver soon but never followed up. I have left at least three polite phone messages in the last few months and they never got back to me. I don't get it. Maybe their supply/delivery is jammed up, which is fine, just tell us."
