"Wow... I'm so disappointed, I've lived in cheboygan my whole life and have been going to this store since candy cigarettes were a thing. I went in today with a friend who recently got out of the hospital, we came in for drinks and pizza, we went about our business quickly with their service dog at our side. She never barked, jumped, got into anything, nothing. We went to the counter and to our surprise, a man who worked there but was not currently helping us began to berate my friend for bringing "it" into the store. Calmly, we let them know that the dog was in fact a hypoallergenic service dog who was currently working, even showing the dogs service license and ID. Rudely again we were asked to leave "it" outside as it would contaminate the food. We reminded them that the dog was hypoallergenic, and that they had a job and even quoted the sign outside their front door stating that service dogs were welcome. The workers then said that the sign did not say that and that no dogs were allowed. Not wanting to contaminate the food, we asked to ring up 2 slices of pizza to grab on our way out. The lady at the register then shouted a foot from our faces, "Don't forget your pizza on THE WAY OUT.!" We left and as we were getting into our vehicle watched the lady who was at the register, come outside, glare at us, then take several pictures of the sign that clearly says service dogs are welcome."
