About Timber Farm Firewood
Firewood Delivery Across Southern Maine
Timber Farm Firewood supplies cut, split, and delivered firewood throughout Lebanon and across a 50+ mile radius of southern Maine and New Hampshire. Whether you're heating a home, stocking a woodstove, or planning a season of campfires, they offer hardwoods in both green and seasoned conditions, plus softwood for campwood use.
Wood Types and Heat Output
Seasoned hardwoods are the standard choice for consistent heating. Oak and hickory—common in Maine woodlots—deliver 24–28 million BTU per cord and 27–30 million BTU per cord respectively. Seasoned wood burns cleaner and produces more usable heat than green wood, and reaches the 20% moisture content target that minimizes creosote buildup in chimneys.
Green hardwoods cost less upfront but require 6–12 months of air-drying before reliable burning. Their campwood option suits fire pits and outdoor gatherings where moisture matters less.
Services and Coverage
Timber Farm handles the heavy lifting: they cut, split, and tumble wood, then deliver it. This saves homeowners a weekend of chainsaw work and chopping. They serve Lebanon, North Berwick, Sanford, Biddeford, Kennebunk, and dozens of towns across York and Carroll counties, reaching as far as Rochester and Union.
Typical firewood costs in the region run $250–$400 per cord depending on wood type and delivery distance. A full cord measures 128 cubic feet—roughly four feet high, four feet deep, and eight feet long—though half-cords and quarter-cords are available.

Read all 14 reviews on Google"Earlier this Fall I ordered 3 cord of seasoned firewood. The young lady on the phone was very pleasant and accommodating. The delivery arrived on time as scheduled. The moisture content was as stated. I have storage in my basement for 3 cord and that's what I recieved and then some. The quality of the wood is top notch. Very clean, sized properly and burns great. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! I will purchase from again"
"I ordered 2 cords of dry wood that was delivered in August. I’ve burned it over the last few days and it burns great. The owners are friendly and helpful. I typically do not review, but this business deserves more 5 star reviews!"
"I've used these folks for years now for our camp. Awesome service, great product and exceptional people. I highly recommend these people. You won't be disappointed. If you are a local or if you are stocking your summer place, they make it real easy and always deliver!"
"By the phone conversation the women and I had there would be multiple types of wood and they are tumbling the wood to ensure only big pieces. I was very disappointed when the wood was delivered and after stacking it. It was not a full two cords that we ordered nor was it all big pieces, there was definitely a large amount of small lumber even alot of big bark pieces. My expectations of the quality of wood were extremely different from the owners description on the phone. I recommend going some where else."
"Very nice people. The wood however, not so great. Ordered one cord, sizes and cuts more or less are inconsistent. Not a huge deal. But after burning for a few weeks I have come to the conclusion that about 70% (give or take) is not fully seasoned. I'm no wood expert, but it doesn't take that to know whats seasoned and what's not. No.1- the wood is a lot heavier than it should be and is visably growing mold or whatever, for being seasoned. No.2- it does not burn well at all. I have a wood stove with a glass door and when you toss a piece in, it doesn't really catch, just smolders. No.3- can hear sizzling and visibility see liquid burning out of the wood. When I called and voiced these concerns, I thought maybe an unseasoned cord was delivered by mistake. I was ensured a seasoned load was delivered and I was, in short, told that the wood varies and some types of hardwood retain moisture more than others and can burn differently and so on. No offer to come out with a moisture tester and test the wood or take the concern any further. Like I said, nice people, but probably won't order from them again."
