"Have burned North Idaho pellets exclusively for 4 years now. This year has been very disappointing. The quality has decreased since last year. Heat output is down heating my 1800sf home. Visually the pellets are very inconsistent in size (up to 3in long) and surface texture (some smooth/shiny while others rough surface). While burning have more fly ash than ever before. Having to do thorough clean every 5 bags. Ash build up, black soot on glass and having to vacuum feed auger as plugged with fines. Have tried sifting to decrease fines build up but still auger packed after 2 weeks. Can’t justify cost of these pellets anymore. Ton of pellets cost more than using electric heat per month. Would not recommend"
"Have to clean my stove every 4-5 bags. Buildup in burn pot way too much for that small amt of bags and glass collects ash from getgo. Horrible. Bought a pallet and will never use again. Stove: Quadafire Trekker"
"This is also a review of the North Idaho Pellets. After using Clean Burn and Golden Fire, I finally tried these after hearing great things, and from the recommendation from the company that we purchased our Quadrafire stove from. My neighbor and I split a pallet. We were both extremely dissapointed. Way dirtier abd much more ash than the other two brands. Did a thorough cleaning of stove, including vacuuming out all remnants of prior pellets. After only 4 days my stove was filthy and full of ash. Glass was dirtier than it would have been after a week with the others. They claim to have 1/2 the ash content as others, but our experience was the opposite. Will not buy again."
"As long as you keep these logs dry they burn long and hot. As other reviewers stated, you can get an overnight burn consistently with these if you use them strategically. I rest easy knowing I have this year's and next year's heat tucked into an unused corner of my garage. I have tried others but these burn best."
"These energy logs are awesome. 1 log in the back of the woodstove at night on top of some hot coals, close the damper all the way and wake up to hot coals in the morning 8-10 hours later. Keeps the house very warm all night. We burn Red Fir and 1 energy log at night and keeps our 1850 square feet home at 75+ degrees till morning. Burns hotter and longer than large rounds of wood. Highly recommend them."
