"Called Atko and he dropped off a full cord of wood same day. The wood is top quality. Note the color of the wood, size of the pieces, light weight of the wood (as in not full of moisture) and how quickly it splits for kindling pieces. Five stars all the way."
"I ordered a cord last year and what was delivered was closer to 50-75% of a cord. The bigger problem was that a lot of the wood was very damp and moldy. I needed to start my fire with kiln dried wood and then use the firewood they delivered after the fire was started. They were friendly however. Price was very competitive with other suppliers in the darien greenwich area."
"Finally getting around to writing this review... purchased a half cord of wood through firewood by gus. Someone from a company called ATKO Bro's Landscaping delivered my wood. Took them almost 2 weeks to deliver and the wood was impossible to keep lit. Tested the wood with a moisture meter and all the pieces I tested were above 30% some was as high as 45% meaning they were selling unseasoned wood as seasoned. Illegal to do in the state of CT. Called the owner of ATKO out on the wood and he tried to dodge it saying I was testing the wood wrong and that I was his only complaint. Seeing as I resplit the wood and tested in the center I wasn't testing it wrong. Had to threaten to report him to the department of consumer affairs to get him to agree to give me my money back. He came and picked up the wood which undoubtedly went to someone else as they threw it in the back of a truck full. My advise is if they delivered your wood buy a moisture meter and test it! Burning unseasoned wood can damage your chimney and cost you thousands in repairs and you are paying for SEASONED wood."
