Mobile Bay Firewood

About Mobile Bay Firewood
Mobile Bay Firewood operates out of Prichard, Alabama, supplying seasoned hardwood to residential and commercial customers across Mobile and Baldwin counties. The operation focuses on premium wood species—oak, hickory, cherry, and pecan—each chosen for their burn characteristics and heat output.
Oak firewood typically produces 24–28 million BTU per cord, making it a reliable choice for extended burn times. Hickory runs slightly hotter at 27–30 million BTU per cord and produces excellent coals for cooking or sustained warmth. Cherry and pecan offer aesthetic appeal alongside solid heat performance, with pecan reaching comparable BTU levels to hickory.
Mobile Bay Firewood handles the logistics that matter: delivery directly to your property, on-site stacking to protect wood from ground moisture, and customer pick-up options for those with transport. They also serve wholesale buyers and offer bundled firewood for smaller orders or one-time needs. This range of services eliminates the guesswork around cord measurements (a full cord is 128 cubic feet) and storage preparation.
For buyers in Prichard or neighboring areas, moisture content is critical—aim for wood dried to 20% or lower to maximize heat output and minimize creosote buildup. Mobile Bay's seasoned inventory meets that standard.
With a 4.8-star rating across 21 reviews, the business demonstrates consistent delivery and product quality. Whether you need a single face cord for occasional use or bulk wholesale supply, contacting them at (251) 751-2005 provides pricing specific to your order size and delivery location within their service area.

Read all 21 reviews on Google"Hands down the best firewood we have ever had. We are devoted fireplace users and know good wood when we see it. The kiln-dried oak is premium quality and gives a beautiful slow burn in our wood stove. The ability to order online and the pallet delivery is very convenient. I have watched this company grow over the years and they're doing a great job with their business, but this is the first time I have had a chance to try the product. Highly recommended!"
"If I could give them 10 stars I would! I honestly didn’t know wood was capable of burning “beautifully” until we used theirs. I kind of thought that wood was wood, you just don’t want it wet. It’s completely pest free, totally dry, and makes the perfect fire. Yes it’s more costly than the guy bringing over a truckload, but you get what you pay for, and I could never go back. Their delivery is a smooth process, they drop the pallet off in the exact spot we ask for it, and they can even restack it somewhere upon request. The ordering process in their website is super easy as well. But beyond all of that, this is the type of family business that is more and more rare to see in America these days. The owners are just good, honest people who want to do what’s right by their customers. I have never had any issues, but if we did, I can guarantee they would do everything in their power to make it right. I love seeing more and more local businesses and stores carrying their product- keep up the support Mobile!"
"They will probably never dump a load of wood in the bed of a truck again. Because I touched the basket of wood just before it tipped, the owner said nothing but "you touched it" Made no offer to assist in the repair cost. Or if it was see what the repair cost is or how about $30-$50, sorry. Probably would have went a long way, grade school esque response. Did I touch the pallet of wood? Yes how much pressure did I put on it less than a pound? Am I partially responsible? Yes, all I was asking for is possibly some consideration considering. Let's talk about the $130 campfire wood. About 3% of this wood is rotten oak and overall the pieces are more in a grill smoking size. I wouldn't necessarily call it Campfire wood. I would not recommend campfire wood unless you just want smoking wood possibly small pieces that you can make a s'more fire with. I like the idea of kiln dried wood, don't dump, probably will try them again. Probably a good company, horrible first impression."
"These are the only guys we trust. Kiln-dried wood is way better than seasoned. Definitely give them a shout!"
"I've been using Mobile Bay Firewood since I discovered them four years ago. They're extremely professional, have a superior product to other brands, are family-run and, my favorite part- are locally owned!"
