About Firewood Alabama
Firewood Alabama: Mixed Hardwood Delivery in Harvest
Firewood Alabama serves Harvest and the surrounding area with a straightforward firewood delivery service focused on mixed hardwoods. Whether you're stocking up for a fireplace, wood stove, or outdoor fire pit, their mixed hardwood cords offer reliable BTU output for Alabama's heating season.
Mixed hardwoods typically deliver 20–26 million BTU per cord, depending on species composition and moisture content. Oak and hickory—common components of mixed hardwood bundles—each provide 24–28 and 27–30 million BTU per cord respectively. To maximize burn efficiency, look for wood at or below 20% moisture content, which ensures cleaner combustion and fewer creosote buildup issues in your chimney.
Firewood Alabama handles delivery logistics so you don't have to haul from a yard. Their service covers Harvest, making it practical to stock a quarter-cord, half-cord, or full cord (128 cubic feet) without the trailer rental and weekend labor. When ordering, confirm whether your delivery includes unstacking—some suppliers charge extra for placing wood directly at your storage spot rather than dumping it curbside.
With a 4.7-star rating across 89 customer reviews, the business demonstrates consistent reliability in a market where inconsistent wood quality and missed delivery windows are common complaints. Before finalizing an order, ask about their specific wood mix, seasoning timeline, and delivery scheduling to ensure the load arrives when you need it.
To place an order or discuss your firewood needs, contact Firewood Alabama at (256) 326-4990. They can walk you through sizing, delivery windows, and pricing for your Harvest location.

Read all 89 reviews on Google"I asked my son to bring me two bundles of wood to try before I buy a rick because I’ve had bad experiences buying from Facebook marketplace claiming to be “seasoned oak” that was actually green crappy scrap wood. I had high hopes for this wood after reading the reviews but, yet again, this wood was not seasoned. I knew as soon as he opened the bundle sack and started stacking it, this wood is green!!! I had some good seasoned wood but needed to restock for winter. I got a good hot fire going with the good seasoned wood then put a couple of small logs of this Firewood Alabama wood and sure enough, it sizzled on those hot coals like I was frying bacon, just smoked and turned black, never would catch. I’m glad I tried just a bundle first but it was still a waste of hard earned money. If you buy from this place I hope you have better luck. UPDATE: My son called back to tell them that they sold him unseasoned wood that would not burn and he was told to return it. The lady who sold him this wood said it was cut last March so I don’t know why it was sold knowing it wouldn’t burn. Apparently you have to ask for seasoned wood…?? Anyway, they made it right and made sure he left with seasoned wood this time. To the owner who replied to me and basically called me a liar just because he got a bad review, I hope you understand that employees sometimes make mistakes. I understand that and I know this is your busiest time of year and accidents happen. I was grateful to be able to return this for wood that would burn. I know how to store firewood and have a covered firewood rack on a covered porch and, no sir, I did not try to burn wet wood left out in the rain and I am not a rival dealer. I just left an honest review and I’m sorry that it upset you."
"ChatGPT gave me 5 choices based on quality of wood, fair and reasonable price, company reputation. I spoke with Chris at 12:15 PM Sunday afternoon. He told me that they’ve been in business for over 10 years, supply all the Cracker Barrel‘s with their wood, in age the wood, which is all hardwood a couple of feet off the ground for a few years. A full rick (4 x 8) of wood was delivered and stacked in my firewood rack behind my house by 5:30 pm. Burns clean, little smoke. Perfect! ChatGPT said what I paid was “absolutely fair.” I’m a customer for life!"
"The best around! Great prices! Good dry wood plus a free bag of kindling! Hard to beat!"
"Got 3/4 of a rick of seasoned oak from Firewood Alabama. Very high quality wood, bug free. And you know it's seasoned when you hit it with a hammer and you can hear an echo. If you like to burn fires in the winter like I do, just put a little time in and make a trip to go get some quality wood from this place. It's a LOT cheaper than buying bundles at the store and you won't run out."
"If you need firewood this is your go to place! They have a huge! Selection of all kinds of wood! Great prices and friendly fantastic people."
