"A really disappointing experience on this order. I ordered another cord of kiln dried Birch, and had originally set a delivery date to last Friday, which was the day of a major snow storm. When they called in advance of the delivery, I said it wasn't practical to take the delivery that day and we rescheduled to the next Wednesday. On Tuesday I got a call saying they had an issue with their kilns and it wouldn't be ready, but hopefully by Friday. I got another call on Thursday saying it wouldn't be ready on Friday. I had ordered this wood several weeks in advance to be delivered holiday week when I knew I would be up to receive and stack it. I absolutely understand problems happen as I'm in business myself. However, there is a way to handle them to give good customer service. I was already paying several hundred dollars for the cord of wood, and another $160-$180 for delivery, so not inexpensive. I had asked them to comp me stacking the firewood in my wood crib since I wouldn't be around the following week, and I didn't want to arrive to a wood pile in my driveway with a foot of snow on it. The woman that called Wed said that was likely, and they would certainly work with me. The next time they called, I was told they would charge me an additional $180 to stack the cord. I wasn't going to pay another $180 out of principle. All they had to do was absorb the minimal cost to stack the firewood to keep us happy. Instead they are losing a customer and receiving a poor review. It's a shame because I hoped to have a relationship with them for the foreseeable future. This has little to do with the $180 out of pocket and everything to do with the way the issue was attended to. If they have a change of heart, I'll update my review here."
