"Ordered a full cord of firewood. What I got was mostly wet, freshly cut tree service wood. About a half face cord was split over 24" in length and I had to buck it in half. Another 1/2 face cord is pictured inside the garage - mostly chunks and kindling size pieces. I threw about that much away in bark and rotted wood. The remaining 2 face cords of this may be ready to burn next year. :edit: Thanks for the reply. Like I said, I already bucked the pieces that were too large for my wood stove. The quantity was close. I'm not gonna gripe about a quarter facecord, but the overall quality was horrible. When the truck pulled up, all the good wood was on top. It's what I couldn't see was the problem. I will chalk this up to a fluke...maybe it was the very bottom of your pile... If we do business again and the quality improves, so too will your review."
"Not happy with our delivery of wood. We ordered what should be seasoned split hard wood for our fireplace. Some of the wood is not hardwood, most not split enough to use in the fireplace. Over half of it seems to be from this year's tornado on janesvilles south side. Some I was able to split down to burnable size. Others too wet and big that maybe by next year can rent a splitter and break pieces down."
"We had a full cord of wood delivered today from Rock Country Firewood and it was covered in snow and ice. We are talking HUGE CHUNKS OF ICE AND SNOW. WE can not burn this wood, it’s completely soaked. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. JASON BECAME VERY ARROGANT AND THREATENED TO SUE ME FOR SLANDER AFTER I TOLD HIM I WAS GOING TO WRITE A REVIEW. "Had a load delivered today. Decided to give them a try because they were 50% cheaper than my normal guy. Big mistake almost all of it is to big to put in my fireplace. And after chopping some up in small pieces it smokes horribly and is sizzling so bad from being wet and will barely burn. Picture is after a hour of trying to burn."
"Unhappy with wood compared to what we have received from other vendor in past years. Face cord, most pieces to large in size for wood fireplace, some are wet and hard to burn.. Good example of you get what you pay for, cheaper than most but not same quality to use in indoor fireplace."
