"I called and ordered seasoned firewood, when I spoke to the woman I again asked to make sure that they were going to deliver seasoned firewood and she said yes it would be seasoned. When they brought the wood, I paid them and they dumped the wood. As I started stacking it the first thing I realized was it definitely was NOT seasoned and that the majority of the wood they brought me was extremely large. I will NEVER recommend them to ANYONE! The only reason they even got one star is because they were on time. Avoid this place if you depend on wood for heat."
"It was a pleasure to deal with this company. The wood itself is beautifully cut to the perfect length for our fireplace insert, it is very solid, and it burns well. When other companies have dropped off wood, there was often a lot of debris in with the wood. North Country Firewood delivered nothing but wood! We were very impressed, and we'll be ordering all of our wood from them in the future!"
"Please beware these people will RIP YOU OFF!! Ordered 6 cords of firewood, paid them in cash upon delivery as requested, stacked the wood, measured it and realized it was 2 cords short. Called them right away to report the error and the woman said someone will call you back. After calling them back a couple times finally got a call from the 84 year old owner Bill (who also delivered it) and he said that I didn't know how to measure and I stacked it too tightly and there was nothing he was going to do about it. I know how to stack firewood, I know how to use a measuring tape and I know when someone is ripping me off!!! These people owe me $150 or 2 cords of wood."
"Called them for firewood, have used their service in the past; they said about 2 weeks. Waited and waited. Lady called last week said she would call me back as she was on the other line. Never heard back until tonight. She didn't have the right information, wrote it down again, quoted me a higher price, said not ready for delivery yet. Said they were soooo busy. That doesn't concern me, just deliver as promised. The guy I talked to 1st time said something totally different than the lady that called back wondering why I called. Horrible experience. Now I canceled my order after wasting two weeks. Now I have to find other firewood. Bad customer service. When I told her I was upset and was going to cancel my order she said that she didn't care at all. Will never never use their services again!!!"
"I've been getting firewood from these people for over 25 years. Thank you people for your reviews. I always thought it never "looked" right,as to how much I ordered but I had no way of checking. So this year because of reviews, I'm am switching companies. Thank you again!!"
