Big Ron's Wood

About Big Ron's Wood
Big Ron's Wood is a firewood supplier serving Las Vegas and surrounding Clark County communities, including Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and Summerland. They offer a diverse selection of wood species suited to the desert climate, including pine, ash, elm, eucalyptus, mulberry, mesquite, and mixed hardwoods—each with different burn characteristics and heat output.
Hardwoods like ash and mesquite deliver 20–24 million BTU per cord, making them ideal for sustained heating through Nevada's cooler months. Pine and mixed wood options provide faster, lighter burns suitable for campfires or casual use. Eucalyptus and mulberry are local favorites for their distinctive burn profiles and availability in the Southwest.
Big Ron's delivers in quarter-cord, half-cord, and full-cord (128 cubic feet) quantities, so you can match your storage space and heating needs. They handle stacking at delivery, eliminating the heavy lifting. RV firewood packages and recycled wood options appeal to campers and budget-conscious buyers. Wheel barrel sales work for smaller lots or first-time buyers testing a particular wood type.
When ordering, ask about moisture content—target 20% or lower for efficient burning and minimal creosote buildup. In Las Vegas, firewood typically costs $150–$300 per cord depending on wood type and delivery distance. Quarter-cord loads run $50–$100, half-cords $80–$150.
Call Big Ron's at (702) 439-3001 to request a quote, confirm current pricing for your service area, and discuss delivery timing. Have your zip code and estimated cord quantity ready for an accurate estimate.

Then I sent a message the next day and I said "I sent a message yesterday and no answer yet. Mr. Ron responded...Yes you did. At 6:15. And I'm busy running a $1.8 million a year tree service. We do $5000 a day worth of tree work. My firwood business is just selling my trash. Which between August and until I run out which will be in about another month. i sell $140,000 worth of ny trash. So I'll get back to people when I have time.Sometimes I don't even care he does firewood phone with me and check it every two or three days. It doesn't matter if I sell the firewood to you or next person. Because by Thanksgiving I will be out. Then the whole month of December the whole month of January the whole month of February I will be getting calls everyday for firewood that I can't sell. I could sell another hundred and $40,000 this year if I had it available. So if I'm not getting back to you fast enough you can try someone else. Especially when your message when I read it has a Discount asked for it doesn't make me in a hurry to hurry up and call you back. my respond..........Okay...just asking. Wow Mr. Ron's respond..."I sent you a message yesterday. I'm just following up. That would just be asking "No answer yet" is being a jerk. Accusing me of not answering you fast enough. Just find someone else my respond...Okay Mr. nice guy....Hope is what I meant to say but it came up as Home God Bless you for being nice...sorry I bother you...Thank you I am retired from Army Airforce Exchange Service. I serve 28 years.....dealing with business. I never imagine such a customer service I received Mr. Ron. Yes, Mr, Ron has the right to refused his customers....but my only mistake if you consider that a mistake is when I made a text and told him that .....no answer yet. Ron response was ......Very demeaning..... his website offer discount for senior and military, responder. His whole message as a customer told me he do not need any business from anyone as his business is well thriving."
"They just dropped a half cord on my driveway and it looks great. Highly recommend contacting them before weather turns as they'll be sold out by the time the weather changes. Also recommend texting as phone calls seem to be difficult."
"This place does not exsist. I tried calling no answer, decided to drive their as I needed firewood, and their website said they were open. Drove to the location listed on Google and the website during open business hours today. I wasted 1 hour of my time and 3 gallons of gas. Wish I would have checked the Google maps ariel view before I wasted my time and gas."
"Got a cord of hardwood last year and just ordered another. The guy delivering was very late last year but had the courtesy to call and let us know so that's a BIG ++ in my book. Prices can't be beat & he is VERY busy so texting is the best way to communicate. Hope he's around for many more yrs."
"Very responsive through text. I think they have been busy since people have been home more often due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Once they get a haul in it’s gone within the next day or two. I didn’t use their delivery option and picked up instead. A face masked gentleman welcomed me, told me where to park, and loaded a wheelbarrow into my truck. I recommend paying with exact cash."
