"For no reason in particular, I dug up this white oak root to make cookies for various projects. Not knowing where to take it, I found Mike on google. I was impressed w/ his website and was equally impressed on the day we got it cut up. As I’ve never had anything milled before, the morning was very entertaining watching Mike do his thing. He explained everything as he went & made the morning very informative. He gave me some tips for epoxy work as well. I look forward to working with Mike again"

Having a large white oak fall which was well over 170 years old we wanted a memory of its great legacy. Having saved two of the larges pieces Mike began its transformation to beautiful coffee table. "Mike is incredibly creative when working with various types of wood. He can take a slab of wood with knots and gaps that others might see as “imperfections” and make them beautiful focal points. He is able to pick the perfect Epoxy color and wood finish to make every project unique. As a fellow pack rat, I really appreciate his ability to reinvent on the fly. He can reimagine almost anything! Mike has done some sawmill work for me as well. We brought him a few white oak logs we wanted to have quartersawn to bring out the beautiful grain and figuring. This is a time consuming operation as the log is flipped and/or turned multiple times throughout the process. The wood cake out beautiful. Fast forward 6 months and we ran a few random pieces through the planer and WOW! I have never seen so much beautiful figuring before. I will definitely send all of my future logs to Mike!"
