Treeco-Black Fly LLC

About Treeco-Black Fly LLC
Treeco-Black Fly LLC supplies mixed hardwood firewood to Bridgton and the surrounding region. If you heat with wood or rely on a fireplace, sourcing reliable firewood locally saves time and ensures you get seasoned stock ready to burn.
Wood Quality and Heating Value
Mixed hardwoods typically deliver 20–28 million BTU per cord, depending on species composition. Oak and hickory—common hardwoods in Maine—hit the higher end of that range (24–30M BTU/cord), making them excellent for sustained heat output through winter. The key is moisture content: firewood should be seasoned to 20% or lower before burning. Wet wood produces creosote buildup in chimneys and wastes energy on evaporation rather than heat.
Delivery and Ordering
Treeco-Black Fly handles firewood delivery to Bridgton customers, eliminating the trip to a woodyard and the labor of loading your vehicle. When you call, ask about cord size (a full cord is 128 cubic feet—roughly 4 feet tall, 4 feet deep, and 8 feet long), delivery timing, and whether the wood is seasoned. Clarify whether you need help with stacking or if you're handling that yourself.
What to Expect Locally
Firewood pricing in Bridgton typically ranges from $250–$400 per cord, depending on wood type, moisture content, and delivery distance. Mixed hardwood blends offer a practical balance of heat and cost.
For a quote or to arrange delivery, call Treeco-Black Fly at (207) 754-6475. Have your address and rough cord amount ready so they can confirm availability and timing.

Read all 13 reviews on Google"I don’t like doing this and never leave reviews but…, my neighbor hired these guys to remove some pines in their back yard. These guys left a huge mess on my street. Used my drive way without permission and made 0 effort to clean it up. On top of that I just had my driveway patched and now there is a lateral crack that runs the width of it that wasn’t there before. I work in the industry and would be upset if my guys left a mess like this. It’s understandable in the winter if some debris and rakings get stuck in the snow but an effort should be made to limit that amount and to contain the chips in the chip box. I work around this stuff all day the last thing I want to come home to is piles of saw dust in the skirt of my driveway from someone processing wood. Please reach out to me to make this right. I’m willing to update this review, I have photos to substantiate my claims."
"Tony and Larry were responsive from beginning to end and the Treeco crew was efficient in clearing and cleanup. They went the extra mile for us by sawing some of the hardwood into wood stove lengths so we can split it later. They hit all the right bases: professional, affordable, and a pleasure to do business with. We will definitely recommend them to friends and clients looking for tree work."
"After spending $2,800 for them to trim trees along my driveway, I was unable get out after the first snow a month later. I had to spend several hours cutting down trees and removing them myself. When I called them back to ask that they remove the trees that were hanging over the driveway that should have been removed the first time, they wanted to charge an additional fee. Their service was very disappointing and I don’t recommend them. I won’t be using them again."
"Had a great experience this year with Black Fly Firewood. Tony was very friendly and did a great job cutting three tricky trees right up next to our house. Much appreciated!"
"Treeco removed trees from two of my properties and one for a family member. They were fast and efficient! Mom sat at watched them, out her window, at work for hours."
