    About Natures's Way

Natures's Way is a firewood supplier serving London, Kentucky with mixed hardwood delivery. If you're heating with wood through the winter months or stocking up for seasonal use, understanding your options—and what to expect from a local supplier—makes a real difference in both comfort and cost.

Mixed hardwoods are the standard choice for most homeowners in the region. Oak, a common hardwood species, delivers 24–28 million BTUs per cord, while hickory ranges from 27–30 million BTUs per cord. These figures matter because higher BTU output means more heat per load and fewer trips to restock. When evaluating firewood anywhere, aim for moisture content around 20% or lower; wood dried to this level burns cleanly and produces maximum heat rather than excess smoke and creosote buildup.

Natures's Way handles delivery logistics directly to your location in London, eliminating the need to source and transport heavy loads yourself. A full cord measures 128 cubic feet—roughly what fits a standard pickup bed stacked neatly. Many homeowners find half-cord or quarter-cord deliveries practical for testing wood quality before committing to larger quantities, or for spaces where storage is limited.

With a 4.5-star rating across 65 customer reviews, the business has built a track record in the local market. When ordering, confirm delivery windows, ask whether the wood is fully seasoned, and clarify what preparation—such as splitting or stacking—is included with your order.

"WORST SERVICE. I want to start off by saying that in the years of being a homeowner I have never received a service that left me overwhelmed, disappointed, disgusted the list could go on. I placed a call to Nature’s way on the recommendation of another business. I needed 5 ton of sand delivered for a pool installation. Sounds easy enough, but to my dismay that was just the beginning of a nightmare. The day of delivery I spoke with a gentleman that was in charge of Nature’s way while the owner was out of town. I stated “I’m not sure if you will get stuck, because our yard is pretty soggy.” His reply was “We don’t put our trucks in places they will get stuck.” With the understanding that they would use good judgment upon arrival I felt at ease. Delivery arrived and driver looked over the yard, attempted to back in and seen the trailer was sinking into the yard. He made the decision to turn and go at an angle which then resulted in him completely getting the truck and trailer stuck in the yard. He made several failed attempts at dislodging the vehicle. Due his frustration and worry of his boss “getting mad” he refused to call them and let them know what happened. His solution was to dump 5 ton of sand in mud and grass so he could get the vehicle unstuck. That was not a viable solution as I wasn’t prepared to pay 350.00 for something that would be unusable once he backed over and crushed it into the already mess. I called the office and reported what happened and the only solution stated “he will have to figure it out.” The owner calls and I explained what happened and he states “there’s nothing I can do, because I’m not there.” And I asked who is going to repair the damage to my yard and his response was to pass the work onto the pool installers who had nothing to do with the mess his employee caused. Once a co worker arrived 4 hours later and pulls the stuck trailer and truck out the yard I was told they would come back the following Monday to “rake” the yard. It’s been 5 days since the incident and I’ve received no call nor seen anyone. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND NATURES WAY DUE TO POOR SERVICE AND POOR ATTITUDES."

"I recently needed a very large scale and complex landscaping job done. After consulting with a few different companies, I chose Nature's Way. And I am thrilled I did. I had ideas of what I wanted, but being such a huge job, I definitely needed design and placement assistance, as well as different recommendations for vegetation and rock. Mr. Mullins worked with me from start to finish on everything. He has a very keen eye and definitely has significant skill set in this arena. His prices for product and labor were more than fair. His crew were very hard workers and under Mr. Mullins guidance made for a very smooth process. The outcome exceeded my expectations and was finished ahead of schedule and under my initial budget. I can't give enough accolades to Nature's Way. Not only would I hire them again, but I highly recommend. I wish there were more than 5 stars to give. Thank you, Nature's Way, for going above and beyond!"

"I called them needing a dump trailer load of dirt put around my walkway to my door. He told me it would be around $300 for a full load, and I probably wouldn’t even need it all, and the straw would be a little more. He delivered and laid it, well the couple workers did anyways, and they were there about 3 hours total. I asked him to estimate labor and he said he would see how long it took but wouldn’t be bad. So we’ve got $300 max for dirt (they didn’t use it all), probably $50 generously for straw, and 6 hours of labor total, if that. Also they didn’t even tamp the dirt, they just dumped it and put straw on it and left. So they do the work, and then he then tells me it will be $1590 after the work is already completed. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. I wasn’t going to left a review but I think people should be aware before using any of their labor."
