"The guy on the phone was very friendly and having a half cord of seasoned oak delivered and stacked was easy and convenient. The price was a little steep but I thought it was worth it to save me the effort. Unfortunately, the wood was not all seasoned, nor all oak. We found that when we started burning this wood, it was difficult to keep the fire going. So we split some of the pieces and found them to be damp inside. It means we'll have to be careful to split and dry the next batch of wood by the fireplace before using. I say not all oak because the wood is all of different weights and appearance. While convenient, I think I'll go and pick out my own wood next time and pay a little less. I'm disappointed. I gave 3 stars purely for their friendliness. I'm attaching two photos to show the wood after splitting and the difference between the seasoned wood on bottom and the fresh cut on top that they delivered."
"I purchased 1/2 cord Jan 4th before big snow hit. Gentleman that delivered was very friendly and stacked firewood perfect. But as others complained about, this was not seasoned oak. Due to whatever wood it was, it has all been burned since then. Very disappointed for price I paid and it was gone so quick. We only burn in the evenings so fireplace is not going constantly. Wish I could get the oak I was sold. Gentlemen asked if I would send him copies of my ring recording to him to show others how to stack properly, and he would bring me some hickory for our smokers....I sent video, but he never returned. Let down all around."

"The last 3 years I've bought $40-60 of firewood by the stick from this place at $1/each. For the price, and considering I don't buy 1/2 or full cords I've been very happy with everything. Actually, EXTREMELY happy. This year, 2022, was different. None of the wood that i bought was even close to seasoned. Tons of hissing, popping and it would only smolder unless i already had a roaring fire going from other wood I had. Very different from the previous 2 years. If I only had the wood rom Southside Wood Co I would have been screwed. I've never had any complaints until this year but I'm not sure if I'll buy firewood from this place next year."
"Wood is still wet and wouldn’t burn. I understand things happen but when you pick it up, drive it home, unload it and then get zero results it’s quite frustrating. The man who helped me was very friendly and probably the only reason it gets three stars. I had to go to Home Depot and buy their overpriced wood but atleast it was dry and burned for me."
