"The first time I visited Smoak, I chose them because, out of all the Kiln firewood sellers, they were the most affordable for the amount of wood you received. I made my third visit to Smoak on 2/13/2026. I got there at 10:09 am and as soon as I drove up I was greeted with a number of employees who immediately set about loading my trailer. I returned because I found the red oak I purchased previously to be of top grade and burned better than the wood I seasoned for two years. I have a wood stove and want to make sure that all of the wood I burn is hardwood and sufficiently dry. This time, I not only bought red oak but also purchased white oak and hickory. Amy was very gracious and even helped to get me loaded. I would definitely recommend Smoak Firewood to anyone who is looking for Kiln dried firewood. I have used other firewood suppliers but I returned to Smoak because I could not tell if the wood I was getting from the others was actual hardwood. With Smoak, there is no mistaking the look, smell and burn quality of the hardwood you get. It was definitely worth my 3 hour round trip drive. I will definitely return to Smoak next time I need firewood."

"I swear I live in a world where every day companies find a way to make things less convenient and more challenging. It used to be this way if I wanted to make a return or complain about some issue; anymore it seems like companies make things difficult just to make a purchase. I am quite pleased to say this is not true about Smoak. As the seasons change and the nights become colder my wife and I decided we'd like to spend more time sitting by the fire in our backyard. I searched the internet for a local company that would deliver firewood to my home and discovered Smoak was just down the road from our home. The price was unbeatable (I checked) so I placed an order just last night. And was shocked when I received a text informing me the wood would be delivered today! The text even asked where I'd prefer to have the wood stacked so I didn't even have to be here to receive delivery (compared to the company I ordered the bricks for the firepit from left the bricks dumped at the head of my driveway)! Easy. Simple. Convenient! During this open enrollment I wish my insurance company worked this well. I also discovered I'd been purchasing Smoak wood for my woodfired pizza oven through Home Depot for years. Not only do they have great service and fantastic prices, their wood tastes great cooking pizza with too! Instead of Home Depot I'll be ordering my cooking wood direct as well. I'm very pleased with the service provided by Smoak and I'll be recommending them to everyone I know with a fireplace, pit, or wood fired oven. Best company I've worked with in a long time."
